Tsubu builds small, careful apps — and privacy is part of that care. This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to your data when you use our app. The short version: we don't track you, you don't need an account, and almost everything stays on your device.
Your tasks, settings, timers, and progress are stored locally on your device, in the app's own storage. This information stays on your device — we never receive it and it isn't sent to any server.
There are two situations — and only when you choose to use those features — where some data is sent to a third-party service so the feature can work:
When you ask the app to turn something you've written into tasks, the text you entered is sent to Anthropic's API, which processes it and returns the structured tasks. This happens only for that specific action. Under Anthropic's API terms, the text you send is not used to train their models by default. See Anthropic's privacy policy for details.
When you use voice input, your device's built-in speech recognition handles it. On iPhone this is Apple's service; in Chrome it's Google's. That means the audio is processed by your device's provider, under their own privacy policy, only while you're using the microphone. We plan to move to on-device recognition in the future so voice input can stay fully offline.
No other companies receive your data.
Tsubu apps are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy as our apps change — for example, when we add optional sync. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
